Live at Record Room Volume 2 is a limited-edition vinyl LP documenting the raw immediacy and diversity of Limerick’s contemporary music scene. Recorded during a series of intimate live sessions at Record Room, the album captures one standout performance from each participating artist, preserving the energy, imperfections, and atmosphere that define live music at its best.
Spanning a broad range of styles and voices, Volume 2 functions as both a snapshot of a thriving local scene and a carefully curated listening experience. Each track was recorded live, with a focus on authenticity and performance over polish, resulting in a record that feels immediate, honest, and grounded in place.
I was the recording and mix engineer on this recording. My goal was to ensure a consistent sonic character across the LP while respecting the individuality of each act and the acoustics of the small space.
The project was produced by Rocky O Shea (The Commercial/Record Room), and Richard Dowling (WAV Mastering). Live Sound Engineering by Eoin Greaney. Mastered by Richard Dowling (WAV Mastering).
The project was supported by the Department of Culture, Communications and Sport's Grassroots Music Venue Support scheme.
