Hey – I’m Mike Gavin. I spend my days immersed in music, and somehow, I’ve managed to turn that into a career. By day, I’m a Lecturer in Music Production & Technology at the Technological University of the Shannon. By night, I’m a producer and both a studio & live sound engineer.
Over the years, I’ve had the chance to work with a wide range of incredibly talented people. I’ve collaborated with artists and producers I admire, including Noel Hogan, Efrim Menuck, Tom Lord-Alge, and Tony Hoffer. I’ve also mixed live sound for some of the artists who shaped my own love of music, like Grant Hart and Thurston Moore. From 2010 to 2022, I played with the Choice Music Prize-nominated band windings, touring Ireland, the UK, and North America.
These days, teaching takes up most of my time, but I love getting into the studio or working on live events whenever I can.

I’m not actively seeking new projects at the moment, but I’m always happy to chat about music or potential collaborations. Reach out if you’d like to connect!
